Cunningham and Ben Schimmoller all had one score each. Goalie Grady
Kerron, deflected shot after shot and had 9 recorded saves to earn the

BEND 2 - MVHS 14
WOW! The MVHS boys lacrosse team
put it all together against Bend's JV2 team. All the scoring came from
the four attack players, three with a hat-trick each and one with 4
goals! Max Mortensen lead the scoring with four scores. Matthew Asher,
Ben Schimmoller and Vince Cunningham all had three goals, Michael Asher
had 1. Goalie Grady
Kerron had 2 saves, and the entire defense had very little to do
because the Cougars controlled the ball very well and kept it on their
offensive side of the field for most of the game.

MVHS JV vs BEND JV2
April 3, 2008 at Hal Puddy fieldMVHS 10
- Bend JV2 1
Way to go
guys!
Stellar defense and the
ability to score at will made for a great first game for Mountain View
High School's first ever boys lacrosse team. The scoring was shared by
many, including a hat trick by Ben Schimmoller, two goals each by Hunter
Martinez and Matthew Asher, and goals by Rhylan Kihs, Vincent Cunningham
and Max Mortensen. Many others had shots and assists on the
offensive side of the field.
But, you've got to take your hat off for the defensive side
of the field. Stop after stop, and clear after clear, by the boys with
the long sticks was the key to the win. The MVHS defensive group kept
the ball on the offensive side of the field for most of the game.
Goalie, Grady Kerron had an outstanding game with five recorded saves.
Grrraaddy, Grrraaddy, Grrrraaddy.....
NEXT GAME: Tomorrow, Friday 5:30 p.m. at Mountain
View against Burns. PLAYERS: Meet at the field no later than 4:45
p.m. and be on the field, in full gear, huddled and ready for the
coaches instruction promptly at 5:00 p.m. PARENTS: Bring your own
chairs, we don't have bleachers. You can sit inside or outside the fence
on the parking lot side, but you will need to be right up against the
fence if you are inside. Our field has minimal sideline space. You can
also park your car facing the field and watch the game from your car or
put your chair on the elevated parking area for a great view. Come
early, tell all your friends, cheer on the home team!
